August-September: Center of Hope
This month, as we highlight Center of Hope, we invite you to pray for the people who walk through their doors, the staff and volunteers who faithfully serve them, and the ways God is bringing hope and transformation to our neighbors. Center of Hope as been providing service to Parker County for over 25 years. Center of Hope has learned that while addressing the material aspects of poverty is important, true rehabilitation and restoration are only achieved through long-term solutions. They have focused their work on an integrated service model that addresses the holistic needs of individuals and leads them to a path of economic independence and improved quality of life.

How to Pray
This month, join us in praying more specifically for Center of Hope by
praying over these specific requests:
Pray for every person who comes seeking hope.
Pray for the individuals and families Center of Hope serves. That they
would feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for. Ask God to meet them in their
immediate needs while also giving them courage and hope for what lies ahead.
Pray for hearts that are searching for Jesus.
One participant recently shared that she wants to surrender her life to
the Lord but does not know how. Pray specifically for her, and for others who
may be asking similar questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to draw them to Jesus,
give them understanding, and surround them with people who can gently walk with them as their faith grows.
Pray for the Springtown volunteers.
Several faithful volunteers have needed to step away for a season becauseof medical and personal circumstances. Pray for healing, strength, peace, and restoration for them. Ask God to remind them that they are cared for as people, not simply valued for what they do. At the same time, pray that God would raise up new volunteers who feel called to serve in Springtown. Pray for people with compassionate hearts who are ready to listen, encourage, build relationships, and help Center of Hope care well for every participant who comes through the doors.
Pray for the staff and volunteers in their own seasons of life.
Those who spend their days caring for others are carrying stories of
their own. Pray for staff and volunteers caring for aging parents, navigating
health concerns, facing fears, or stepping into new chapters of life. Ask God
to give them wisdom for decisions, endurance when they are weary, peace in
uncertainty, and people who will encourage and care for them as they care for others.
Pray for the people behind every need.
Ask God to give Center of Hope's staff and volunteers the wisdom to see
beyond the immediate request and recognize the person and story behind it. Pray
for conversations marked by dignity, patience, compassion, discernment, and
grace, and for relationships that help people move toward lasting hope.
Pray over the upcoming renovations.
Center of Hope is preparing to renovate its upstairs space to create additional classrooms and tutoring rooms. Pray for the work to go smoothly and safely, for wisdom throughout the process, and for as little disruption to ministry as possible. Most importantly, pray over the people who will eventually fill those rooms. Ask God to use those spaces for learning, encouragement, mentoring, meaningful conversations, and new opportunities for individuals to discover the gifts and potential He has placed within them.
Pray for strength to keep showing up.
Much of Center of Hope's ministry happens through ordinary faithfulness; one
conversation, one prayer, one relationship, and one person at a time. Pray that
staff and volunteers would not grow weary in doing good. Ask God to renew their
compassion, deepen their dependence on Him, and remind them that even the
moments they may never see the results of can be used by Him.
Pray that Center of Hope continues to be a place of hope.
Pray that everyone who encounters Center of Hope; participants,
volunteers, staff, donors, churches, and community partners would see the love
of Jesus reflected there. Ask God to continue using this ministry to restore
hope, strengthen lives, and draw people into deeper relationship with Him.
Above all, pray that every person would leave knowing that their story
matters, they are not alone, and there is hope in Jesus.
