Serve alongside Alaska Missions in Nome during one of Alaska’s most
unique and meaningful seasons—the finish of the Iditarod.

This trip gives us the opportunity to come alongside mushers, race volunteers, local leaders, and Indigenous families throughout the Bering Straits Region. Alaska Missions has spent years building trusted relationships within both the Iditarod community and the surrounding villages, and we have the privilege of stepping into those relationships with humility,
encouragement, and a willingness to serve.

We go to support people who are often carrying the weight of isolation,
hardship, trauma, and loss, while also celebrating the strength, resilience,
and community that are deeply rooted in this region. Whether we are encouraging
someone at the finish line, serving alongside a local organization, or simply being present with someone who needs care, our goal is the same: to see people, value them, and reflect the love of Jesus.

By serving with Alaska Missions, we become part of a ministry built on trust and faithful presence. We go because relationships open doors, because hope matters, and because the love of Christ compels us to serve and give again and again.

We serve people. We serve alongside trusted partners. And we go to bring the hope and light of Jesus wherever He gives us the opportunity.

Come serve where relationships are already growing.

In Grecia, Costa Rica, Pastor Oscar and Iglesia Bíblica Unción Con Gloria are loving their neighbors day after day, and this trip gives us the opportunity to join them.

We’ll step into the life of a local church that knows its community well. That may mean spending time with children at a local school, encouraging older adults, sitting with a family in their home, praying together, or helping meet a practical need. Some days may include construction or other hands-on work, but the work is never the destination. People are.

One of the most meaningful parts of this trip is visiting families with Pastor Oscar and members of the church. A bag of food may help meet an immediate need, but it also opens the door to sit together, hear someone’s story, pray for their family, and remind them they are not alone.

We go to listen, encourage, serve, and strengthen the relationships Pastor Oscar and his church are building all year long. Rather than bringing our own ministry to Costa Rica, we get to join what God is already doing through people who faithfully love their neighbors.

Baseball creates connection. Jesus gives purpose.

In Northwest Germany, the baseball field becomes a place where relationships can grow and young people can be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that their lives have purpose far beyond the game.

Serving alongside Crossroads Global Initiative, local coaches, and ministry leaders, we’ll spend the week investing in young athletes through a shared love of baseball. Coaching gives us a natural way to connect, but the real opportunity comes in the moments between the drills and innings; laughing together, encouraging a player after a mistake, celebrating progress, sharing our own stories, and showing what a life shaped by Jesus can look like.

For many of these young people, a coach can become more than someone who teaches the game. A coach can be a trusted voice, a source of encouragement, and someone who helps them see their own potential differently.

That is why we go.

We go to invest in the next generation, serve alongside leaders who are already pouring into them, and use something as simple as baseball to build relationships that can open the door to conversations about faith and Jesus.

Every family has a story. This week, we get to step into a few of them.

Across Guatemala, Clubhouse Guatemala has spent years building relationships with children, parents, pastors, and community leaders. They know the families they serve, not simply what they need, but their names, their stories, their hopes, and the challenges they are facing.

Our team gets to enter those relationships as guests and servants.

We may help build a home, but behind that home is a family who will sleep there, raise children there, share meals there, and begin a new chapter there. We may carry a water filter into a village, but the greater opportunity is entering a family’s world, spending time together, and showing them through practical care that they matter. And when we gather with children, the games, songs, crafts, and Bible stories give us a chance to laugh with them, encourage them, and remind them that they are known and loved by God.

Throughout the week, we’ll serve beside Clubhouse’s Guatemalan staff, pastors, and local leaders—people who know these communities and will continue walking with these families after our team returns home. We are there to strengthen their hands, support the relationships they have built, and join them in sharing the love of Jesus in tangible and personal ways.

Guatemala will give us plenty to do, but this trip is ultimately about who we get to know while we’re doing it.
